The Way of Life Method Webinar Series
Trauma in Dogs:
Recovery and Resilience
with the Way of Life Method
Event Information
Shelters, rescues, and many trainers, dog owners, and handlers consider dogs who’ve had traumatic experiences, such as being attacked by another dog or enduring abuse in a previous home, as emotionally scarred and in need of special treatment.
The Way of Life Method thinks quite the opposite: Dogs are naturally resilient, and willing and able to heal with a way of life that supports and challenges them to grow.
This webinar, presented by Way of Life Dog Training founder and head trainer and coach Souha Ezzedeen, will lay out the Way of Life road to building resilience and recovery from any kind or level of trauma.
This is an interactive webinar so be sure to add the event to your calendar, attend live, and bring all your questions. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Way of Life Method:
How to Heal Your Relationship with Your Dog and Raise a Sound, Strong, and Spirited Companion
(At Any Age)
By Souha Ezzedeen PhD
In her ground-breaking book, Dr. Souha Ezzedeen shares the secret to creating strong, profoundly impactful bonds with our canines, bringing forth the life of adventure and companionship that, sadly, seems to elude so many dog lovers.
She too once yearned for this bond with her dog, finding herself challenged by her dog Maya’s behavioral issues. Having walked in your shoes, she wants you and all dog owners struggling as well as those who know that something deeper with their dogs is possible that help is on the way.
The Way of Life Method aims to impart a unique rearing and recovery method that will transform your rapport with your dog, heal old wounds, and uncover your canine’s true intelligence and personality. It details a framework that empowers you to design a way of life that not only heals behavioral issues but serves to raise sound, strong, and spirited dogs (at any age!).

Souha Ezzedeen, Ph.D., is an academic, dog trainer and coach, and the founder of Way of Life Dog Training in Toronto, Canada. As a scholar for more than 25 years with behavior science expertise, Souha has a curious mind, loves research, and is well-versed in the behavioral theories that undergird much of mainstream dog training.
When she faced complex challenges with her dog Maya, Souha dove deep into a theoretical and practical study of all things canine. That study soon became a passion, which revealed itself to be a calling to help dog owners and their companions develop stronger relationships. Today, her goal is to share all she’s learned about the human-canine bond with people struggling to achieve a more harmonious life with their dogs.
In addition to training companion dogs of all breeds and ages, Souha has experience as a volunteer dog-walker, trainer, and foster parent to rescue and shelter dogs. She has years of experience boarding and training challenging dogs, as she continues to work through new challenges with more dogs of her own. Souha has been active in dog sport from the beginning, including sheep herding, obedience, and scent work, learning to nurture both stability and drive in her dogs.
Today, Souha is the owner and operator of Way of Life Dog Training in Toronto, Canada. She coaches clients seeking assistance with their dogs’ behavior issues both in-person and virtually, in private and group settings. She is the developer of the Way of Life Method and Leader & Coach of the Way of Life Method Dog Training Academy, an online platform for coaching and supporting students of the Method anywhere around the world.
